Posted are some of the pictures that I took on my trip back to California and the Grand Canyon. I was particularly excited about this trip. Surprisingly, the excitement started with my flight to Ontario, CA. I had to assess a 23week pregnant lady who fainted and fell on the aisle right in front of me on the plane. So much for chosing aisle seats to feel "safer" while flying :). Anyhow, I was very happy to see my friends (some I had not seen for 13 years) and my professor from graduate school (Sorry Dr. Hoyt, I still can't call you by your first name :)). Memories came back and I was amazed how far we all have come in life. I also attended our friend's wedding. I even had the nerve to sing karaoke during the reception! I, then, headed to the Grand Canyon to celebrate my birthday.
I couldn't believe that I'm 36 years old now! Time flies by so quickly. Unlike other years, I decided to really celebrate my birthday this year. Many things had happened in the past year that reminded me that life is too short and unpredictable. I'm more thankful and enjoying what I have everyday. I'm not afraid to share my feelings and appreciation for people I love around me. So, THANK YOU! Thanks for thinking about me and taking the time to view my blog to see what's up with my life. I'm still waiting for everyone to visit me, you know.
Love,
Thao
P.S. The picture above was taken on my flight back to NC. It was the first time I sat in a window seat, looking out enjoying the view.
